one athlete, Maria Titova, shines through everyone by showing her human side.
when she was told to pack things and go home, she did after probably plus 10 years in the sport.
eventually she became a champion, 5th in World ranking in 2014 season.
this time i came across this gem from RT Documentary, "Winner Takes it All: Pain and Gain of Russian Rhythmic Gymnasts"
i must confess, i found it very suprising that all the athletes praised the head coach, Irina Viner-Usmanova saying she was literally God sent.
i think its a must-see for everyone who wonders what it takes to be great in almost anything; the long hours, unyielding resistance and pushing one's limits.
